About our data

Towns and cities

Our UK town list, coordinates and population figures come from GeoNames (the GB dataset, places with roughly 3,000+ residents), licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. We group towns by local authority area and region. Population figures are approximate.

Postcodes

Postcode searches are resolved with postcodes.io, which uses Ordnance Survey and ONS open data.

Acts and prices

Every listing is supplied and maintained by the entertainment agency that represents the act. Guide prices are the agency's own and are confirmed in a written quote. Listings marked [DEMO] are sample data, not real acts.

Reviews

Reviews can only be left by people who enquired through Find the Act, using a private link sent after their event. We publish every review that meets our content rules, positive or negative, and agencies can reply publicly. We don't edit ratings.

Which pages appear in search

We only ask search engines to index location pages for larger towns and areas where enough real acts are available. Other pages stay available for visitors but are marked noindex.
